| Pictable on tour
During the summer of 2004, I felt God leading the ministry in many directions. Of these paths, this one I was able to see revealed first. I wanted to hook up with a band that had their own music but also did worship style music. Byron Keith was that band.
A mutual friend, Cal, was trying to set us up for a long while. He tried to hook us up at Cornerstone but that fell through. A few weeks later, we would be working together at a youth camp that Cal was organizing and coordinating. At this camp, Byron was the camp pastor and worship leader. I would be there to teach a class on art and paint a pictable during one of the worship sessions. As the week went on we got to know each other. After the camp ended, we went our separate ways.

A few weeks later, I got a call from Cal to see if I would want to go out on tour with Byron. As it turned out, he was going up to South Dakota for the LifeLight Fest for a weekend. He wanted me to come and add a visual element. It turns out that Byron is into art too. The weekend would be a test to see how we worked, toured and lived around each other. The weekend went well. We played and painted 4 times over the weekend at the Firehouse stage.
Fast forward two and a half weeks, we then hit the road this time for Chicago. We had 3 gigs there and then went up to Appleton, Wi for the final show. The experience was great and taught me many things.
