| All-in-one pictable service focusing on Jesus' sacrifice on the cross
Easter is one of the two most important days of the year to me, Christmas being the other. This year there were two churches interested in having me come paint for their Easter celebration but both opportunities fell through. As I began thinking about what to do, God spoke to me. While I was sitting in morning worship one Sunday, I started visualizing what I could do for Easter. I have always wanted to take over a whole service with the pictable and this seemed like a good time. Multiple canvases. Music. Spoken word. All of this tied together to form an Easter themed service. After speaking with my pastor, we decided on having it on Maundy Thursday during a series of nightly events at church leading up to our Easter morning celebration.
As the service began to take shape, it became apparent that this would be a powerful experience. It was a challenge to incorporate music, painting and speaking all together and to get the timing down. I started the night off speaking and then started slinging paint. Three canvases put together to form one large open area definitely created a sense of excitement for me. So much to paint. So much to say. It was an exercise in balance. I would paint, turn around to speak, and then turn around to paint again. I would also speak and paint at the same time. Challenging to say the least. People have always asked if I paint and speak at the same time. Now I can say yes. The whole service turned out very well. The response was good and many people were touched. God moved and He was glorified.
The structure of this service has laid ground to further develop the pictable servicean all in one service geared to offer an entire experience. This was just the beginning. In the future, there will be a variety of pictable services much like the variety of pictable concepts. This new branch of the pictable ministry will begin to offer another form of pictable to be used for worship and ministry.

The canvases are ready to get painted.
I am carefully putting in the stable as the story begins to unfold in this painted illustration.

The service combined painting, speaking and music. I was constantly turning around to talk and then to paint. I even spoke as I painted with my back to the audience. Thank you for microphones!
