A great article
When I was in Greenville, SC doing the Life, Love & Hope Presntation, the local paper did an article on the pictable. You can go here to read it. And make sure you look at the photo gallery too.

Going to Romania... again
We are just a week away from taking a team to Bucharest, Romania to work with the artists over there to help encourage, edify and equip them to use their talents for God's glory. We have a team of six very diverse and talented people. We look forward to seeing and experiencing what God is going to do.

Look for details here when we get back. In the meantime, check out last year's trip.

The summer is winding down
What an interesting summer. There has been a lot go on and happen in the pictable ministry. The trip to Colorado was great. Sol-Pursuit was the beginning of something really awesome. But then there was a disappointing event when Alina didn't get her visa to come here to the States. But overall, God moved in new and overwhelming ways. Praise God!

The summer is heating up
What a great summer this is going to be! Mission trips, art fests, an exchange artist, painting teaching and more.

Over the last few weeks and months, some new things have surfaced that I want to throw out.

People like my clothes!?! Yes, the very clothes that are splattered with a rainbow of color is considered cool. After many people have suggested that I do a clothing line, I have decided to throw out that possibility. Would you be interested in pictable pants or canvas clothing? I don't have any details yet, but if you are interested, contact me.

Art education and excitement in the public schools. With the shrinking and cutting of educational budgets for art in schools, I am looking into getting into more schools to help promote the worthiness of art and how it can be used to engage the students in our schools. If you would be intersted in bringing the pictable into a school or know of one that would be interested, contact me.

We are in the final stages to get Alina over here. She has a visa appointment but we are trying to get it moved up. If all works out, she will be here at the begining of July. If you would like to bring Alina to an event to paint or speak or you would like to support her stay over here, contact me.

New pictables in the Gallery

After many months of building up, the gallery has finally been updated with many more concepts for pictables. With the recent additions, the gallery has more than doubled in size. This means more pictables for you to choose from for your service or event. There are even some custom pictables in the gallery, which is a reminder that these are not the only ideas that can be communicated in a painting. In most cases, your ideas, themes and sermon topics can be turned into a picture parable. Check out the gallery>>

A picture is worth a thousand words.

We are a visual society, presented with an abundance of images on a daily basis. The morning drive to work. Our favorite TV show. Surfing the web. A picture can communicate a volume of information in a small package. Today we can access more data than at any other time in the past, and our eyes are the method used to unlock that information. An image is a great communication tool.

Chalk talk on steroids!

Jeff Brown, Ph.D.
Prince Avenue Baptist Church, Hannibal, MO

Throughout the history of the church, art has been a vital part of our faith in God. Because we can't see Him, His likeness has been left up to our imagination. Although art shouldn't serve as a substitute for God, it helps us express our belief in God. It allows us to show His grace in action and to make our faith tangible. From the Sistine Chapel to the ornate stained glass creations in our churches, art and faith are perfect complements.

Unfortunately, the church has moved away from visual expressions of our religious convictions. We still love and reverence God, but often our worship involves only our ears and our mouths. Our eyes are left to wander aimlessly without any type of inspiration. Going from the information overload of our culture to a visual black hole in our church has created a longing for more. Our worship needs to tap the potential of a thought-provoking illustration. We need to present a feast for our eyes. One such solution is a pictable... More>>>

What People are Saying

…a visual worship experience
that brought tears of joy to
the eyes of many…

Mike Keppler
Pastor, Springfield Southern Baptist Church

The ministry has presented a special memory and experience for those who have seen a pictable painted in front of them. It is very emotional and creates a lasting memory. But don't take our word for it. Hear from others>>

Get Your Own pictable Artwork
The artwork of the pictable is powerful. Due to the interest in art that is smaller than the presentation size of the pictable, we offer commissioned artwork. Many different sizes and prices to fit into any empty space or pocketbook. This artwork also helps support the ministry and future prospects of the pictable. Any pictable concept can be the subject of a commissioned piece or a custom concept can be used. Check out the art>>
