Examples of Pictables
|
Due to the flexibility of the ministry, pictables can be created in almost any format and with a wide range of content. Here are some examples of current pictables. You may choose to have one of these done or one might inspire something customized for your church.

| Secular Concepts |
|
|
| There are times when a blatantly religious concept cannot be used at an event, like at a school assembly. This is where the image still contains an uplifting message but without any religious overtones. These opportunities are just as important as the typical pictable. |

pictable.service |
| The pictable service concept revolves around being an all-in-one service combining art, music and spoken word. This area of the ministry aims to offer more options for the pictable to be used to minister. Just like the pictable started off with just one concept, the concepts for the pictable.service will build up. From stories to parables, this format is open to many different interpretations and narratives. Find out more info here. |

| Children's Events |
| The pictable can grab your attention, especially if you are a child. Using a painting as a sermon illustration, to capture the theme for Bible School or to portray a Bible story can help a little person understand on a higher level. Children are captivated by the pictable and it can be used to connect with them. Below are just a few examples of pictable concepts used in children's sermons or VBS, but any concept can be used or a new concept created. |

| Improv painting is a new area for the pictable. This process revolves around spontaneity and the natural movement of a service. Unlike the other pictables, Improv is born from no direction or preconceived idea before the painting begins. The concept and subject is decided while the painting is created. It is Spirit led and is a surprise to everyone, including the painter. It is exciting but highly unpredictable! |

Tag Team Painting
|
These two paintings were done tag team style. In case you are not familiar with this process, another artist and myself each started with a blank canvas and a theme to communicate. After ten minutes, we would switch canvases and paint on the other's painting. We ended up doing this five times. The experience was wonderful and we will be doing it again. Tag Team painting is another area of the pictable ministry available to be done at your church. See more here.
