A sacrifice was given to mankind atop a hill many years ago. Beaten and bloodied, an innocent man laid down His life and died on a torture device reserved for the most heinous of crimes. It was out of love that He gave the greatest of gifts. To cleanse the sins of a self seeking world, Jesus shed His blood to wipe all of it away. After living a sinless life, teaching about the Father in heaven and showing love in His actions, He took it one step farther. He died for us. For our sins. To open the door to a relationship with our Creator and Lord. But that is not the end of the story.
After His death, He was laid in a tomb. Death could not contain this man for He left that tomb 3 days later when He arose from the clutches of the grave. He walked away from the tomb a living man and He still lives today. And He can live inside us. We can experience a personal relationship with Jesus.
